User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080829 Firefox/2.0.0.17 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.17) Gecko/20080829 Firefox/2.0.0.17 Drag and drop of bookmarks to folders (using Bookmarks Toolbar folder) where the dropdown folder has more entries than the screen can display not working. when you need to get to folders beyond the end of the list where because of display limitations and a long folder list of folders and links causes a down arrow to be displayed at the bottom of the list. Normally the list would scroll when dragging in a link to the bottom - but not for me. Can someone verify this and or fix it. Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have a long list of folders beyond the application's ability to display the entire list. 2. Drag a link to the Bookmarks Toolbar folder and down the list to a folder where you must have the list scroll to get to it. 3. List will not scroll down to bring other folders into few.
I see this indeed using Firefox 2 and 3 but not anymore with the latest trunk build. Trunk builds can be downloaded here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/ It was fixed between 2008-09-18-07 and 2008-09-20-08 so apparently not by Bug 240709.
i moved the scrolling code in bug 418671, that was not working because the code was returning earlier, and the patch went in exactly between those days. thanks

this is such an edge case scenario, it's not worth a litmus test case even at FFT level.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
