457544 - Mozilla Firefox always starts up on primary monitor unless configuration changed, eg resized

I use dual monitors. Until this last update Mozilla Firefox would open on the last monitor I used it on. If I had Mozilla Firefox maximized on monitor 2 and then quit Mozilla Firefox, when I restarted Mozilla Firefox it would start up maximized on monitor 2. Since the last update it will always start on monitor 1. I feel as if I've lost a degree of freedom and I hope Mozilla Firefox can changed so that I have that freedom again.

It remembers the monitor on which the configuration was saved the last time. The easiest way I know is to move the window to the desired monitor and resize it there. Do not use maximize, *resize* it. Afterwise you can click maximize too (to fir it better), but you always have to resize first. Don't know why that is.

I can confirm this is the case too.  Yes the resize worked, I think normally it's the closing of the window that activates this in windows, so perhaps that is not triggering something as expected.

i can confirm this happens, at least when restarting firefox after a new plugin installation from the plugins window - the browser, up until that moment open and maximized on my secondary monitor, re-appeared open aand maximized on my primary monitor

Something else I've noticed, while you can resize as above to make the browser start in the second screen, it does not work for any pop up windows.  I've found no way to make pop up windows (such as the like that come up in Groupwise Web Mail) show up in the 2nd screen by default.
