Details

To reproduce. 1. Start Mozilla 2. Browse to a web site. 3. Click on a link to go to a different web site. (This should be a web site that's a bit slow to respond) 4. Immediately minimize Mozilla. 5. When the page you just clicked on loads, Mozilla restores itself from minimized, forces itself to the top and displays the page. It should simply load the page and STAY minimized.

This may be happening when it loads content in sidebar.
->claudius, windowcontrolman. strangely, i saw this y'day [2000.08.01.04-m17 comm on winNT] *after* i had attempted to download files. however, i didn't have the sidebar open... and i cannot seem to repro it with today's bits. poop.

I've reproduced this on Win98 with the 2000080205 -m17 branch build. Isn't this a XPToolkit thing anyway?
I see this in 2000073108, except the page doesn't have to be loading. The browser window restores itself after I minimise it only if it was the last open window on screen. If I close one of the other apps I'm running, then the problem goes away.
Saari, o doomed one :-), have you encountered this?
I can imagine this would happen. I'll have to add a minimization check in the focus code. Usually if I interrupt mozilla while loading a page it just crashes.
Chris, Dan has bug 46988 on this point; so which is the dup (who's got the fix).
I can't take it anymore. Closing this as a dupe of bug 46988 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 46988 ***
