Funny :-) Do you get this in the Firefox safemode ? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Does view/toolbar/customize/restore default set change anything ?
firefox toolbar works ok. The problem is the apple menu bar has double set one old & one new firefox version.
Complete double. Sometimes it starts with the new menu + help of old version, and progressively more of the old menu items get added as yuo use the program. they add from the old 'help' toward the left with other old menu items in their proper order.

When I installed and launched Firefox 3, on my PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X 10.4.11, I got a jumbled menu: Window, Help, Firefox, File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Window, Help. The order and duplication changed from time to time, depending on the tab, window, etc., used in Firefox. On my computer it seems that this multi-menu appearance is an a issue with the SharedMenus feature of URLManagerPro. I went to System Preferences > Application Enhancer > SharedMenus and added Firefox 3 to the excluded list, so that SharedMenus were not used with it. The problem with the jumbled menus then disappeared and Firefox acted normally. However, URLManagerPro needs to get the current URL and the current Title from Firefox and AppleScript is broken in Firefox 3, so URLManagerPro can no longer be used fully with Firefox 3. For this reason, rather than the menu problem, I've abandoned Firefox 3 and reverted to Firefox 2 which works properly with URLManagerPro.
