This is bug 436686 and all the myriad of flavors that are duped to it. (Flash stops after 2-3 seconds, no audio at all, not starting at all...)

This should probably be a section of <http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Video+or+audio+does+not+play>. Maybe as a sub-point under the Flash section.

What the...

"Firefox Support / Knowledge Base /..."
Please don't create articles in the KB without review. Article requests are tracked not only to review content, but also:
1. To make sure there is not a duplicate bug.
2. To determine where the content should (in it's own article or part of an existing one)
3. To review the name, before we have to create any redirects.
We are supposed to be using Bugzilla for this stuff, and review of new articles. If we don't use the system, we shouldn't expect anyone else to.
I didn't put it in does not play because for a number of people it DOES play only it stops. Or it is inconsistent whether it plays or not. Either way, specific problems should have specific articles.
We need faster turnaround. I got pushed to have an article out in a day and for lots of issues, even a day is too long. I really don't agree with the bug system because the whole point of a wikipage is that it's editable and can be reviewed on the fly. Adding an extra layer of review is just bureaucratic.
