From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.14-5.0 i686; en-US; m17) Gecko/20000718 BuildID: 2000070810 After clicking on the main header/link to download the file and selecting save to disk none of the standard progress or save to location dialogs appear. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open the above URL 2.left-click on the main header download link (libglade-0.11-1 RPM for i386) 3.When the Downloading dialog appears select "Save to disk" and hit OK Actual Results: I've had two different things happen when I do this. After left-clicking on OK either: 1 A dialog appears entitled "Enter name of file to save to". Clicking ok makes the box disappear but the Downloading box remains and the download progress dialog box does not appear and the file does not download. or 2. Clicking OK on the Downloading dialog seems to cause something to start downloading as my internet connection immediately begins transmitting a lot of data. But neither the "Enter a name of file to save to disk" dialog nor the downloading progress dialog appears. Expected Results: After clicking ok on the Downloading Box the "Enter a name of file to save to disk" should appear, the user should hit OK after which the downloading progress box should appear and the file should download Why does this Downloading dialog come up instead of the standard "Unknown File Type" what do you want to do dialog? The file is an rpm from an ftp connection similar to the http download here http://www.monmouth.com/~compwiz/rpms/ which has simlar behavior to the .tar.gz the mozilla download here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/ both of which use the "Unknown File Type" what do you want to do dialog. The only major difference seems to be that this one is specifically linking to an ftp connection. Notice the link itself starts with ftp:// : ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/libglade-0.11-1.i386.rpm Using RedHat 6.2 kernel version 2.2.14-50
I'm seeing this with CVS from the afternoon of 07/19 (getting result #1). Here's the stuff that gets spewed to the console: JavaScript error: line 0: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [nsIHelperAppLauncher.saveToDisk]" nsresult: "0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/helperAppLauncher.js :: anonymous :: line 102" data: no]
