I don't know if we currently do, but because of bug 458750 and bug 453735 I suspect we don't.
The NSS test suite should automatically test changing the password of the cert db, in various modes. Changing the password should be tested in standard mode, in FIPS mode, both with or without shared db enabled.

so maybe this bug is invalid, as bug 458750 is about unacceptable passwords

I wouldn't say this bug is necessarily invalid. It's not a bad idea to add
testing of the password changing feature. But now that we know that
bug 458750 was due to use of an unacceptable password, perhaps the priority
of this RFE is lower.

We already test the password change in standard mode and with shared DB.
I don't think we test it in FIPS mode.
