User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092417 Firefox/3.0.3

Firefox is not allowing the cookies to sites like Yahoo to work properly since the update to 3.0.3, If I leave Yahoo(not log out just close Firefox), and close out Firefox, I have to re-logon to Yahoo again when I re-open Firefox, didn't do this in its' previous form. I have set cookies to be kept till they expire, have even gone to exceptions, and put Yahoo on allowed sites, still nothing, and the cookie is still there. I have even deleted the cookie thinking it might be a problem there, but Firefox is not keeping this info like it use to. Unless you have changed how it works, I have to assume that Firefox is compromised, and untill it is fixed, will feel safer using IE, though I prfer Firefox

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log on to yahoo
2.close Firefox after you have
3.then re-open Firefox, and go to Yahoo, you will be asked to logon again

Expected Results:
I expect to be going to My-Yahoo page without logging in everytime, unless I have actually logged off it.

Don't feel secure with Firefox if it is not working like it should, also have noticed a number of crashes, but only reporting this problem.
This may have nothing to do with Firefox or cookies, are you sure there isn't some option on the Yahoo site like "keep me logged in".

Otherwise all I can suggest is re-trying it in a clean profile:

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles
Summary: Cookies → Yahoo cookies keep disappearing
I used Yahoo as an example, it happens with every site I use, if I close out Firefox, and then open it again, any site I go to that asks for a logon will ask for it again, no matter what I do. This includes going into tools, and finding all the thing that relates to cookies, They are not being cleared by me or by Firefox, and this problem did not exist before the update, and i have had crashes also since the update, so you are telling me to do a new profile for every single site that I have this problem with, huh? It would be easier to just use IE instead, since it is having no problems, and Firefox on my laptop using XP is having no problem, and yes I have tried re-installing Firefox, still the same problem, maybe Firefox has a giltch with Vista, know from the post there is a problem with Firefox, so maybe if most are Vista users, there is a problem there.
I don't think you understand what I'm asking you. Profiles aren't for sites, they're for Firefox on your computer. Re-installing Firefox does not remove its profile, please read the link I've given and attempt it in a new profile. If it works then you can move your bookmarks and passwords over.
Sorry about the misunderstanding, but also your solution is too much like work, would rather take Firefox off completely and then reinstall, if this is impossible, then I guess I'm not using it, sorry but I didn't create the problem.
Bugzilla is a place for troubleshooting problems to find their cause not a place for support ( got to the support forums, live chat or the support home page: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+Support+Home+Page ). But here's how you do a clean re-install:

First backup-bookmarks

1. Open Firefox
2. Go Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks
3. Import and Backups > Backup
4. Save the .json file somewhere you can remember

Next download the latest version of Firefox.

1. Go to getfirefox.com and download the install file for your region and operating system

Next remove all profile instances of Firefox

1. Make sure all instances of Firefox are closed
2. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile delete this folder
(or slightly quicker would be to open Windows explorer, type: %appdata% in to the address bar and delete the Mozilla folder found here)

Re-install Firefox.

1. Uninstall Firefox
2. Re-install Firefox

Restore Bookmarks

1. Open Firefox
2. Go Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks
3. Import and Backups > Restore > Choose file
4. Open the .json file
Just create a new profile. I know it seems that cookies have nothing to do with profiles, but they do. The preferences file gets corrupted on the 3.0.3 install, and cookies are deleted on exit. Creating a new profile re-creates the preferences file and the problem is cured. I experienced the same thing, and it's not a bug. You'll have to reinstall your add-ons and toolbars, though. This seems like work, because it is. But it only took me five minutes.

To create a new profile, go to Start >>> Run, and type in "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe -P". The "-P" puts FireFox into Profile Creation Mode.
Robert did comment 5 and 6 help resolve your issue? If yes, then this should probably be closed with resolution INVALID, unless you can repeat the problem with a clean profile

Chops, regarding comment 6, is there a bug/references that describe why this happens?

As far as I know there is not. I think it has something to do with the SQLite file becoming [virtually] corrupted. I haven't seen anyone else that has come up with any error messages or bugs that might be causing this, so I'm assuming at this point that my comment about the 3.0.3 install was incorrect, and that it simply happens on a random (or unknown) basis with any version. I have repaired my problem, but not without losing my preferences and add-ons. Someone else on another post discovered a way to fix the SQLite file, but, for some reason I couldn't repair mine. I don't think this is a bug, I think this is a problem with some website or download that conflicts with something in FireFox's cookie storage. But I was wrong before.
