User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3

I browse the web on a larger second monitor. When opening a new window Firefox ignores my previous window height in favor of using the primary monitor height. The result is I have to manually increase the height of each window I open.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New Window
2. Move Window to Second Monitor
3. Resize to desired height (and width)
3. Close Window
4. New Window
Actual Results:
New Window will correctly appear in Second Monitor and have the correct width but will only be height of primary monitor.

Expected Results:
New window should be the height of the previously closed window (or whatever Firefox's algorithm is for determining window location and size) even if opened on a second monitor.

Safari has the correct behavior.

Confirmed. I have the same setup with an secondary monitory larger than the primary monitor, and this bug is a continual annoyance. Firefox on the secondary monitor resizes itself back to fit withing the vertical constraints of the primary monitor, even when it is opening on the secondary monitor and should ignore the primary monitor vertical size. Quite annoying if you have this setup.
Still broken in Firefox 3.5 Beta 4
I can repro this in Windows Vista as well. Along with the bug the bug where correct monitor isn't saved when Firefox is closed Maximized (bugs 264030, 462743, few other dups/variants), these window position/size bugs are quite annoying!

Dupe of Bug 463379? Or do we track platform bugs (Mac, Windows) separately?
Works for me correctly now in Firefox 3.5.7
I've tested this on OSX with Firefox 3.6.2 beta, and it's not fixed.

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2
I concur with Mark D. There has been no change in the new window size behavior on Firefox for Mac OS X (10.6.2).
Duplicate of Core bug 396379?

Retested as requested. Result: no change.

I did notice that the zoom button zooms to full size on the second monitor - not restricted to the height of a smaller main monitor but I'm not sure if that was ever a problem.

However, this sequence does not work as expected.

move window to larger, second monitor
change its height to be taller than the smaller main monitor
    close the window
    open a new window

Result: the new window correctly appears on the second monitor but its height is that of the smaller main monitor. Note that repeating the above steps work correctly for any height less than the main monitor. i.e. something is restricting the height to that of the main monitor on window creation.
