Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3
Up until a month ago I could log in to all password protected sites. Now I get the 400 Bad Request window. Some sites are: Firefox login, NY Times login and https://powerschool.lewiston.k12.me.us/teachers/pw.html
I can access the last url from home, but not from work. The problem does not occur in Windows. It does not occur with all sites.
I tried clearing private data in tools.
I tried upgrading to Firefox 3.0.3 first removing the profile folder. Reisnserting the old profile made no change.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.I go to NY Times login, Powerteacher log in at work, Firefox log in
2.I log in
3.I get 400 Bad Request: The browser sent a request the server could not understand
Actual Results:
Bad Request Window
Expected Results:
I should just log in. This used to work about a month ago

Did you try to clear the cookies and cache ?
Does it work with a new profile ?

Error page:
HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
ID#: Legitimate or fictitious
Password: Legitimate or fictitious
Repeatability: always, for me
The Plexus IT mgr says I'm the third of
800 Mac users (various hardware & Mac OSes)
to report this problem in recent months,
and only with Mozilla based products.
Workaround = Yes:
Safari works fine for all affected Mac users,
per Plexus IT mgr and my testing, too.
He also recommends Webkit,
for the willing and able!
Thank you,
