Even though favicon.ico fetching is disabled by default in SeaMonkey, we probably should port the patch of bug 453442 to our code.
It seems that SeaMonkey may not need this fix, since I could not reproduce the bug using a recent 2.0 build. Here are the steps I used to check:

1. Change browser.chrome.favicons to true using about:config
2. Restart SeaMonkey and verify that the setting worked by visiting http://www.google.com (you should see a favicon)
3. Visit https://verisign.com (as mentioned in bug 453442 comment 0)

According to the other bug, the exception page should appear (which it does), and a few seconds later, a certificate error dialog should pop up (this doesn't happen for me). Could anyone else please double-check and see if you notice the extra dialog?
