Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.4pre) Gecko/2008101818 Camino/2.0a1 (like Firefox/3.0.4pre)
Camino not open.
Selecting link from Mail, for example
Camino opens
For a brief moment, Camino opens ok, then a brief (1 frame ? ) flash, then continues to open ok
Not noticed this in Camino 1.6.4
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Camino not open
2.Camino opens
3.Brief browser dark flash whilst opening
Expected Results:
No flash on opening
OS 10.5.5, Intel iMac 3gb memory
Actually brief flash happens every time camino 2 opens from scratch.
It's as the tab writing appears, a brief flash, as if page is being rewritten.
Just checked, this doesn't happen in 1.6.4
No need to access camino from a link via mail, it happens every time camino opens when closed.
Once camino is open, the flash doesn't appear when reloading, or new tab (which is in background anyway)

The flash you see, is it mostly in the content part of the window ?
Does it also happen when opening a new (blank) window in the foreground ?
If so, this is probably a dupe of bug 425958.
It is totally within the content part of the window.
It doesn't happen once camino has opened, it only happens when you open camino for the first time from being off.
Each time this happens.
re: 425958
"The content are flash when I have a blank tab open and open another one.
No , this is not what happens to me...
It only happens when no tabs open, and opening from being quit.
It only happens with first tab open, not with subsequent tabs.
Just rechecked, yes, it also happens with command T
If you keep Command T depressed, you see the effect constantly.
Because when you command T, the content page shows the new tab opened, whereas links open tabs in the background.
