When a download is finished, one sometimes notices that the file should go elswhere or be openend in an application directly. It would be a nice-to-have to just drag/drop the file to a folder or open application window.

Where is the component "Download Manager" gone? Still mentioned in the "File Handling" component...

I think this is on Bug 462172. But I am almost certain another bug is out there on this. Will look later.
