OS X HUD window buttons usually have a white-ish line around the entire shape, and a smooth gradient in the back instead of a glassy reflection line. The attached mockup shows various HUD windows on OS X which contain buttons, and our two HUD panels. These changes might make 3.1 look a little crisper and slightly more native (although even apple isn't totally consistent when it comes to the visual design of HUD windows).
