Mozilla offers the "Always use my font settings, overriding what web pages
specify", but it doesn't work.
Since lots of pages specify Arial but Arial is poorly rendered on Linux and is
significantly smaller than other fonts at the name nominal pixel size, turning
on the "always use my fonts" pref is the only way I managed to get readable
pages in netscape. Even rescaling the font size with the mouse wheel doesn't
help much, because this Arial doesn't rescale well at all (is it really a
rescalable font? It doesn't look like it) and doesn't become much more readable
even when it's bigger.
I will attach a test page which shows the default font, Arial, and Helvetica at
sizes 2, 3, and 4.

Nom for nsbeta3 because the app, frankly, isn't usable without either a fix for
this pref, better smarts so that it knows that Arial is really smaller than the
indicated size, or a hint as to where to download a working version of Arial.

Something else is also happening here because the page renders correctly on my
Linux (Slackware based, not RedHat). The Arial and Helvetica fonts are the same
size for me.
I think you should file a bug on the size issue because Linux fonts are
obviously a problem
