From discussions in irc and in dev.planning, looks like we are ok to stop the FF2.0 talos machines, as they are no longer being used by dev or rel-drivers. The list of machines to be powered off are: qm-mini-ubuntu04 qm-mini-vista04 qm-mini-xp04 qm-plinux-fast02 qm-pmac-fast02 qm-pmac04 qm-pxp-fast02 We'll leave these powered off for a few days, Then do full backup/images in case we need to revive them. Then reformat and recycle these machines for use elsewhere. This will reduce our support load, and also simplify code changes for talos for FF3.0/FF3.next, so its all good.

And machines won't be turned off until bug 463323 is fixed (as discussed in dev-planning), correct?

(In reply to comment #1) > And machines won't be turned off until bug 463323 is fixed (as discussed in > dev-planning), correct? Yep, exactly. Hence bug#463323 is a blocker.

Now powered off: qm-mini-ubuntu04 qm-mini-vista04 qm-mini-xp04 qm-plinux-fast02 qm-pmac-fast02 qm-pmac04 qm-pxp-fast02 Powering down seemed safest way to confirm there were no mystery long-forgotten-about oh-so-critical process running in the background somewhere. If anyone *needs* these back online, despite the advance warnings, you've a few days before we reimage and recycle the machines elsewhere.
