This is impossible. Unlike most extensions Lightning contains binary components, which force platform dependent releases, just like they do with full apps like Firefox.

WONTFIX is no more valid, see bug 352543.
Thanks for the note, but we are not going around changing the status for 9 year old bugs. It was WONTFIX at the time, and changing it now won't make a big difference :)
