User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.4pre) Gecko/2008110400 Camino/2.0b1pre (like Firefox/3.0.4pre) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en; rv:1.9.0.4pre) Gecko/2008110400 Camino/2.0b1pre (like Firefox/3.0.4pre) In the tab bar, the ability to close individual tabs is facilitated by a close button in each tab, allowing the user to close a tab without having to select it and view the contents. I believe it would be useful to extend this capability to the Tab Overview window as well, where the thumbnail, as well as greater space for page titles and tooltips allow the user to make better judgements and reduce the chances of accidental tab closures that often occur when relying on the truncated titles in the tab bar. In terms of UI, those could be accomplished visually with a simple close button in the upper corner of the thumbnail, similar to those used by Dashboard to close widgets. To prevent confusion, or reduce clutter, such a button could remain hidden until triggered by user action, whether a modifier key (Dashboard uses Option), or a mouseover on the thumbnail. The latter would also provide some visual feedback focus that the overview currently lacks when selecting a thumbnail to act upon. Reproducible: Always

I thought we already had this on file, but I guess not; confirming. > The latter would also provide some visual feedback focus that the > overview currently lacks when selecting a thumbnail to act upon. This part is another bug that's already filed.
