User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; fr; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008092414 Firefox/3.0.3

When in Preferences -> Content -> Colors -> Allow webpages to specify their own colors is unchecked and custom colorrs are defined by Firefox (in my example, white text on black background) some web pages apply this black background on their forms (textboxes, buttons and inputboxes) but don't apply the modified color on the text font: this results in unreadable forms with black text on black background.

This bug is there since FF 3 on Mac only (this works fine on Windows. Not tested on Linux)

Examples of sites with this problem: dotclear powered blogs, Simplemachines powered forums, many others.
Example of sites where this problem doesn't appear (custom colors have no effect on the forms): This bugzilla.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Switch to custom colors (white on black) in Preferences -> Content -> Colors
2. Uncheck "Allow webpages to use their own colors"
3. Go to a Dotclear powered blog (http://www.meido-rando.net) or http://forums.axelgamecenter.com, http://www.facebook.com or http://www.nolife-tv.com
Actual Results:
Black text on black background for all form elements

Expected Results:
Either shell integration as expected (black text on white background) or custom colors applied (white text on black background)
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
Not a shell integration bug... over to general for triage.

I can confirm this report (on OS X 10.5.5), but I also see the problem
on Windows and Linux (and both with FF 3.0.3 and current Minefield
nightlies).

For example, look at the two text-entry boxes near the top of
http://forums.axelgamecenter.com/ (for username and password), the
"Forever" combobox, and the "Login" button.

Someone else will have to figure out how to classify this bug, though.
