I just noticed that after upgrading from Firefox 3.0.3 to 3.0.4, that Firefox is using 100% of the CPU while doing nothing. I can close Firefox, and then re-open Firefox to a blank page, and it's using 100% of the CPU in task manager.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox.
2. Let Firefox Sit Idle.
3. Launch Task Manager and watch Firefox use 100% of the CPU
Actual Results:
Firefox uses 100% of the CPU.
Expected Results:
Firefox should not being using 100% of the CPU while idle.

Have you also tested this in safe-mode or with a new profile?

I haven't tested upgrading from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 with a new profile nor have I tested upgrading from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 and going into safe mode.
Here are the plug-ins that I have installed.
Shockwave Flash 9.0 r124
Default Plug-in
Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.0
QuickTime Plug-in 7.5 (861)
Microsoft® Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin
Photosynth 1.1.0.602
DivX Web Player version 1.4.0.233
Silverlight Plug-in 2.0.30523.8
Java Plug-in 1.6.0_07 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)

Make sure to update your Flash to version 10 (most likely unrelated, but good practice). Also, update your Java to 6 Update 10, and quicktime to 7.5.5.
