Details

STR: 1. Create folder on bookmark bar 2. drop a few bookmarks in the folder 3. click the folder, a pop-up menu opens 4. drag-slide down the mouse while holding the left mouse button AR: the menu items can be dragged (moved, reordered) ER: the menu items stay in place. On OS X menus are not editable. That is also repro'd with Fx 3.0x. Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081114 Minefield/3.1b2pre

Steps 3 and 4 need to be a little more precise: 3. Click the folder and release the mouse button -- a popup menu opens and stays open. 4. Click on one of the items in the popup menu and drag it up or down. You'll find that can permanently change the order of items in the menu. If, in step 3, you don't release the mouse button, dragging the mouse over the menu works as expected. This behavior (being able to drag menu items into different positions in the menu) is unexpected ... but might it be a feature (instead of a bug)? :-)
Not a blocker, potentially a WONTFIX. It's not platform-parity, but it's kind of useful and not really easy to accidentally trip over.

Resolving this bug based on comment #2. Unlikely for us to make a change here and not worth removing what may be a useful tool for some users.
