When you add a bookmark with the star or ctr+d, when you edit one in bookmark manager/toolbar or after a search, you have different windows:
- add: has fields name, tree location, tags
- edit: has fields name, url, keyword, description

why not have all these fields as one window used by add or edit.

this is particularly annoying when you search a bookmark in the toolbar and you want to know in which folder it is ...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.
Can you try this on the latest nightly, I think what your describing has been fixed in bug 411261. Also please provide a better description of the request if it's not fixed yet.
Component: General → Places
QA Contact: general → places
and bug 419713 is requesting to add keyword
i will try a nightly tomorrow.
From what i see in bug 411261, it is only about tags fields not the others.

for me, it seems necessary to have all the same controls anywhere. But at least, bookmark properties needs all and for now, it lacks tree location, tags.
i'm marking this as dupe of bug 459958, that is a design bug, please post you suggestions there

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
