User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; eo; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 The esperanto language uses special characters such as ĉ, ŭ, ĵ, ŝ, ĝ. These characters appear in the esperanto version of Firefox (at least in the installation window, I didn't complete the installation because of this) in the form cx, ux, jx, sx, gx. This form was used when special characters were not available (old typewriter or 7-bit ASCII), but is not natural and not convenient to read. Please fix this and use genuine characters, as it is the case in other languages. Thanks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just install the esperanto version of Firefox. 2. 3. Expected Results: Seing esperanto specific characters (ĉ, ŭ, ĵ, ŝ, ĝ) instead of cx, ux, jx, sx or gx

Yes, that is a known windows installer problem, solved for the 3.1 branch. Once you get past the installation of the 3.0.4 version, with the x-system transliteration, you will see the localization work with the native esperanto characters. It is just a problem for the installer. The main bug for this report is Bug 305039 and it was also reported specifically for esperanto in Bug 457797. If you check Bug 305039 comment #139 you will see that I asked whether it would be included in 3.0.4. I just added a new bug specifically for the 3.0 branch in Bug 484771. You might want follow that one.
