I have noticed users, multiple clicking the firefox icon on go-slow computers when the application is taking a while to startup, resulting in frustration and finally many instances opening.
Suggest first thing firefox does is throw up a splash screen, confirming that it is indeed trying to start, and to wait. This should give more of an air of positivity to those unsure if their double click has been registered.
