This bug is the web localization side of bug #464927 (Add text to 2.0.0.19 "you've been updated" page for the turning off of safebrowsing)

Firefox 2.0.0.19 is the last version we will support for the 2.0 branch, furthermore, the Phishing protection service it includes will soon be discontinued.

A new "What's New" page is going to be displayed for people receiving the last security update of the branch to provide them this information and urge them to upgrade to the upcoming Firefox 3.0.5

The file to translate is here:

http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/en-GB/firefox/2.0.0.19/whatsnew/index.html?content-type=text%2Fplain&view=co

Please attach your translation of the file to the bug or indicate the revision number of your commit if you have check-in rights for your locale on mozilla.com

As usual, save your file as UTF8 and attach it to the bug with the text/plain Mime type.

The locales affected are:

af ar be bg ca cs da de el en-GB es-AR es-ES eu fa fi fr fy-NL ga-IE gu-IN he hu it ja ka ko ku lt lv mk ml mn nb-NO ne-NP nl nn-NO pa-IN pl pt-BR pt-PT ro ru sk sl sq sr sv-SE tr uk zh-CN zh-TW

Thanks!
Just commited es-AR translation, revision number: 20408

Include minor fix to firstrun/index.html
Done for sk, revision: 20414
It's ok to drop the last paragraph about the dictionary (for locales that ship without one)?
>It's ok to drop the last paragraph about the dictionary (for locales that ship
without one)?

Yes, because we want people to migrate to 3.x and that's where we should comment about the dictionnary if it is missing.

There is one remark though: shouldn't the text in the download box of Firefox 3 ("Download Now - Free") be localized?

you are right, it should be added as a new string in your main.lang file. Since there is no string indicated in the php call, it falls back to the fallback string in the php code but this string was not put into the main.lang files for translation.

People with svn access can just add the translation to main.lang, others can put the translation into the comments and I will add the string for them. Thanks for noticing early Anas!
Term added to main.lang
svn revision 20443.

Sorry for being late, Lithuanian translation has been committed in revision 20475.
Also, rev. 20477 carries the updates for Lithuanian main.lang.

How can I test the result?
Updated for Hebrew, revision 20491.

Attention RTL locales: I did it without the rtl.css we've used for the landing page as our default CSS files can deal with this page. You may like to do the same on your locales.
Thanks Pascal!

Update: for Lithuanian use rev. 20500 for index.html, and rev. 20502 for main.lang.
Done for German in r20515.
Done for Japanese (ja), r20516. We'll have the whatsnew page on mozilla.jp.

forgot what I said, a temporaty redirect has been put and it's wrong, all locales are redirected to en-US. I'll file a bug about it.
Ukrainian is checked in, rev 20812.

BTW, I'd like to see how it looks before it goes live.
CCing more contibutors from the Bulgarian community, guys if you could help that would be great!

Not sure if you filed a bug or not, but that redirect has been removed. It was added to ship the beta.
Yes, I can see the page now.
