Seen in SM Trunk, Don't know if this is front-end (and specific to SM) or back end (and common to Thunderbird also). I have a folder in which I am viewing only unread messages, sorted by order-received, ascending, threaded. In this view, I see only messages that are "new" or "unread" (meaning, read but then marked unread again). The prefix "Re:" is not displayed in the message list pane of the 3 pane main mail window, for any "unread" messages. It is only displayed for "new" messages. That prefix is displayed normally in the message header pane, but not in the message list pane.
