To follow the convention on other areas of the browser, ctrl-clicking a link should open a new "view source" window.

Is that what Firefox does?
SeaMonkey uses Ctrl+Click to open in a tab instead of in a window.

Is it?
The steps don't match.

Sorry I haven't been clear in the description.
This issue is with the links in the view source window, not with the "view source" in the context menu, so I don't think it's a dupe.

That's a possible solution. My only issue is with the clicks reusing the current "view".

You are correct, this is a distinct enhancement request.

Sorry but I dont understand this bug.
Why someone would want to open multiple view source windows on links which are not visible as tabs?
If this is implemented there would be no way to open a page from view source as normal page, while if you open it as normal page as Im requesting in bug 520397 you always can select view source later.

Emil, my actual gripe is with clicks on links opening the linked "view source" page in the same window. If clicking causes new source pages to open, the view-source window should be consistent the browser's ctrl-click behavior.
If you have another approach that you think is more useful, it's worthwhile to discuss it.

As I understand you want to open a page, then use "view source" and from some link in that "view source" window to open with ctrl+click another "view source" window. Correct? If not please provide STR with your Expected result so things can be clear...

Correct. I originally filed this bug in response to the "view source" window having hyperlinks in it. I probably should have mentioned it :/
