Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081203 Firefox/2.0.0.19

"Remember visited pages for the last 9 days" is unchecked, yet 2.0.0.19 still remembers visited pages, because it attempts to autocomplete them. "Recently Closed Tabs" is populated which also did not happen in 2.0.0.18

I want to downgrade back to 2.0.0.18 but that is nowhere to be found. Aargh. I'm perfectly aware 2.0.0.19 is EOL but WTF ?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to a site.
2.Close window or tab
3.Start typing in the address of site, and waith FF autocomplete it

Expected Results:
FF should not have any memory of the visited site
The "private browsing" component only exists in Firefox 3.1 or later, so this is filed on the wrong component.

you really really really should upgrade to Firefox 3, i know i can't make a choice for you, but it's highly recommended to to do that.
Is less likely that not security related or high impact bugs are going to be fixed on 2.x releases.

Thanks for the comments. FF3 is 10.4 and newer only. These machines are 10.3.9...

If I could upgrade I would have. Thanks to Matthias Versen for the ftp link to the older versions. Since I can't upgrade, I will downgrade instead.

i see your point and i'm sorry that you can't upgrade.
pitifully not going to take further fixes on 2.x.
marking invalid since 3.x Places code is quite different.
