Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081202 SeaMonkey/2.0a2
Steps to reproduce:
- compose a new mail
- attach a file
- enter an email address
- open the attached file from context menu
After the last step, the entered email address is gone. All changes to the recipient type are also gone.
Seems like the addressingWidget is reset to its initial state or the state of the last save operation (if one occurred).
Opening attached files to check if you attached the correct files is useful, but not if you loose the recipients.

Confirming with:
Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081218 Mnenhy/0.7.5.20005 SeaMonkey/2.0a3pre
No Errors in Error-Console.
I have reproduced this with an Account which attaches an Signature (File.txt) by default, and notice, that the signature where added a second time while open the attached file from Context-Menu. Hmm.
OS: Linux → All
It's remove text also (see bug 468740).

I'm not able to reproduce that bug. For me only the recipients are lost, the text stays where it is.
