User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 If I add a new bookmark, then close down firefox entirely then reopen the explorer, the bookmarks I had added are gone. This occurs even after saving and restoring tabs (which is what I end up having to do in order to keep pages). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open to any page and bookmark 2. Close down explorer 3. Reopen and find bookmark Actual Results: The bookmarks are non-existent Expected Results: The bookmark should be saved after creation or saved before the explorer is closed NA
your places.sqlite in your Firefox profile folder file is either locked by other software, often by security software on your systemm, your places.sqlite is broken or you have browser.places.importBookmarksHTML set to true instead of false (look in about:config)

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h". In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows: Tools | Message Filters Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New" Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h Change the action to "Delete Message". Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top. Click OK. Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter. Gerv
