when user wants to print a webpage to pdf/ps.  The settings (ie. print format, location, etc) should be remembered.
Currently, the print settings are reset to default each time user prints another page.
Note that print settings should be kept between browser restarts.

This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

I retested the problem with v3.6.10.
The problem still exist.

Yes this but is still there FF 9.0.1 (in Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit), including when starting with a new profile.

Repeat, and settings went back to the default
There have been numerous other mentions of this bug over the years, along with other symptoms later determined to be unrelated, namely that the default should be PDF (not PS) and that the default file is ".ps" in the users home dir.  See for example, 
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485067 which decided that the strange default file name (".ps") was due to a GTK bug.

So this bug is still with us, namely that settings do not persist.

Question: If FF is using GTK to manage the print dialog, why doesn't it exhibit the same behavior as other apps (essentially everything Gnomish), where print settings reportedly stick?
