Some jpg images (not other image formats) on various pages render as black rectangles instead of the actual image. Dragging the black box (just drag and hold) allows me to view the image. It turns out that if the specified HTML size differs from the actual image size, this is reproducible in every image format for some frequency that varies according to the format.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Visit the same page containing an HTML-resized image.
Actual Results:
Image is shown as a black box on the page; dragging produces the actual image in the dragged version; the black box remains after drag is released (anywhere).
Expected Results:
Actual image viewable, scaled as indicated in the HTML.
Nightly 2008/12/21 displays vertical bands of black interspersed with white or gray; when the image is dragged it shows correctly, and when dropped, the image displayed in the box is still incorrect, and sometimes different from the initial rendering.
