See attached screenshot for navigating 4 weeks forward or backward (and select the same day of the week). This should be mapped to the page up and page down key.
For navigating one week forward or backward, the down arrow and up arrow should be mapped. For navigating one day forward or backward the right arrow and left arrow should be mapped.

Use PageUp/PageDown to change the view to the next day/week/month.
See Bug 431076 for keyboard support in views.
Also an triple arrow icons like <<< and >>> could be added for year navigation.

I think we shouldn't make the navigation more complex. if you would like to change the year, you can still use the minimonth for navigation.

Philipp. please reconsider. At least think of implementing the proposed keyboard shortcuts, or will those be implemented via https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=431076

Pander, the keyboard shortcuts will be taken care of in the bug you mentioned.
So the status should be duplicate, not wont fix. Then the other bug can get ideas for design and implementation from this bug. Will you change it or should I?
