I've a laptop and have seen this on Ubuntu 32 & 64 bit as well as Gentoo. (2.x and 3.x series).
I launch firefox and then when I'm at my desk I'll plug in an external monitor and use the xrandr utilities to add the new screen. Now right click context menus, awesome menu dropdowns are in the correct position on one screen. But on the other screen, they don't show up in the right place. I'm assumming firefox is caching some information about screen size to determine where to put the popup menus....
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch firefox (without external monitor on laptop)
2.Use xrandr to add extra monitor
3.Right click on firefox in both screens. One should show menus correct and the other incorrectly
Expected Results:
Menus should be in the correct location on the screen
FYI I have a thinkpad with intel graphics. Have seen this using KDE as well as awesome wm.

Natch is correct. It appears that 61000 is the original bug (wow, 8 years old!). Bug 324949 and this bug are dupes of that bug.
