The new design shows a "Get Firefox 3" block on the homepage. This block should of course only show for users that do NOT have FF3.

Hey there: I wanted to confirm that anyone on 3 and above (3.1, betas, etc) will be left alone :)

This can be easily done by sniffing for "Firefox/3" in the useragent .
Here is my useragent ..
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120121 Firefox/3.0.5

We always want to encourage folks to use the latest version of the shipping product for security/stability reasons; perhaps it's outside the scope of the bug here, but 3.0.4 is not the latest build, so wouldn't we want to encourage them to upgrade to 3.0.5? The more I think about it, though, I don't think that's something Spread Firefox should be concerning itself with.

I think it's a great idea that adds even more value for the user coming to spreadfirefox. Not only can they come to the site to help spread firefox but we can help them quickly by advising that they will
need to get their tyres changed in the near future (Sorry i slipped into a car metaphor)

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/2008121709 Firefox/2.0.0.20 is the user agent I used in comment 7.

Donner, I've modified the user agent regexp, can you try again please?

It's now fixed, nice! Mark it and I'll verify it once I retest Firefox 3 browsers, thanks!
