a) load URL
b) read the "no proxy" options.
"No Proxy For: List of hostnames or IP addresses that will not be proxied. "
It doesn't explain the syntax.
From bug 222127:
>Help should say "Type the domains and/or IP networks that you do not want to usea proxy for.
>Separate each entry with a comma. (Example: .yourcompany.com,
.yourcompany.co.nz, 192.168.1.0/24).

The only reason you can't edit the Options window article is because we are splitting it up. See <https://wiki.mozilla.org/Support/Firefox3.1:Options+Window>.
Go ahead and edit <http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel>.

According to https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/how-the-knowledge-base-works, article requests are no longer tracked in Bugzilla.
Reporter, if you consider your request is still applicable, post a new thread describing the content with "[Proposed] Name of the article" as title in https://support.mozilla.com/forums/knowledge-base-articles
I close this bug as invalid.
