User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) I've noticed that this does not affect the Linux version (I have not tested this on the mac), but in the Windows version of Firefox saving tabs for the next session only works if exiting Firefox VIA File>Exit. Using the X in the upper right brings up a blank session upon reloading Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enable restoring sessions in Firefox (Options>Main>Show my windows and tabs from last time) 2.Open several tabs. 3.Close Firefox with the X button 4.Restart Firefox. Actual Results: Opens a blank session (or your homepage, if you use one.) Expected Results: Should show tabs from the previous session. As I mentioned in the description, the Linux version behaves as expected, but the Windows version does not. This can be reproduced in stock Firefox. It was only a minor annoyance to me until a friend closed Firefox the wrong way and wiped all of my tabs (I do not save history/cookies/usernames/passwords for security reasons.)

My psychic powers tell me that one difference between your Windows and your Linux Firefox profiles is that you're clearing private data on exit on the Windows box (which due to a bug in Firefox 3.0 doesn't work when using File -> Exit).
