This is an extension of bug 429811 concerning the Ctrl/Cmd+V and +C button presses. If a user tries to copy a history (non-bookmark) item into a tag folder inside the library, the item is not listed as a bookmark nor with a tag. Yet, if the user types in the url of the history item into the awesome bar afterward, the item is listed as a bookmark (yellow star) and with tags associated to it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy any visited page in the History Sidebar (through context click or Ctrl/Cmd+C)
2. Go to a previously created tag in the Bookmarks Library
3. Try to Paste the copied history item into the tag folder.
4. Go to the Awesome Bar and type in the exact url of the history item
Actual Results:
After step 3, the history item will not be placed into the tag folder since its not a bookmark. Yet, the item in the awesome bar drop down menu will have a yellow star and the tag in which the user tried to copy and paste the history into associated with it.

Expected Results:
The item should not have a yellow star or any tags associated to it as it's not a bookmark nor has it been pasted into the tag folder.

The bu here is that it's not showing up in the tag folder, otherwise this is expected. When you tag a history item (which you can, see bug 410196) it becomes a bookmark which is places in "Unsorted Bookmarks". Can you confirm that this is not happening for you?

Confirmed. This is pretty broken, copy/pasting history items into a tag folder displays precisely the behavior in the description (the star isn't even yellow when navigating to the page, although the tag is there). Nom'ing for blocking-191.

Marco or Dietrich, did we broke this feature somewhere in the past?
