Details

Currently there is a nsSameOriginChecker class in nsContentUtils. It would be good to expose this functionality directly through CAPS, so that we can share it with other code that needs to prevent cross-origin redirects. This came up as part of bug 414540
Not marking dup, since there is something to be said for exposing the object itself, not just the check.
