User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4 When I close Firefox, the process is still running; this prevents me from opening it again until I restart my computer. If I open the task manager and select "end process" nothing happens. "end process Tree" doesn't do anything either. If I open up the command prompt and use taskkill with /F it tells me that the process was successfully ended, but it in actuality it hasn't been. I have been able to find no way to stop the process without restarting the computer, even logging out of the user account and back in doesn't do the trick. I'm running vista 32 bit home premiums, I use zonealarm for my firewall and avg for my AV software. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Zone Alarm is at fault, see bug 470849.
