This seems to happen to most sites I go to now. If I try to stop any kind of video before it is over, it will keep on playing (voice only) right to the end even though the tab is close or I browsed out of it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/dan_gilbert_researches_happiness.html
2. start the video
3. click "return" or close the tab
Actual Results:
the video should still keep on playing until the end of it.

Expected Results:
heu....stop maybe?!

I have the flashblocker add on.

That site is using flash to play videos. Which flash version do you have installed ? You can get a list of installed plugins if you enter about:plugins as URL in Firefox.
hey,

Here's what I have

    File name: Flash Player.plugin
    Shockwave Flash 9.0 r151
Please install flash 10 : http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
This sounds like a dup of bug 474022. Are you using FlashBlock?

If so, try a recent nightly.
Gab tells me (via email) that this problem is fixed in the current 1.9.0-branch nightly. So this must be a dup of bug 474022.
