When I press ctrl + enlare the current tab to see small fonts or things, the other tabs which have pages from the same domain also get enlarged. Likewise the size changes follow.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open http://www.google.co.in/ in a tab
2.Open http://www.google.co.in/advanced_search?hl=en in another tab or window
3.In http://www.google.co.in/ press ctrl +
Actual Results:  
You will notice that both the tabs/windows have enlarged fonts. Not only http://www.google.co.in/ which I wanted to be enlarged but also http://www.google.co.in/advanced_search?hl=en is enlarged.

Expected Results:  
Only http://www.google.co.in/ should be enlarged

When ever the base address is same this behavior is seen.

This behaviour was introduced in bug 378549

You can stop the zoom affecting other pages from the site by changing browser.zoom.siteSpecific . http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.zoom.siteSpecific

Affecting background tabs is bug 419612

This is functioning as currently intended. Duping to the request to make updating the zoom for already open tabs an optional feature.
