In 4.x and the top menu in mozilla, one can click on the main item and hold down the mouse button while moving to the desired selection (ie: click on File, hold down button and release over New Navigator Window). This worked for the right click menu in the browser window in 4.x, but does not currently function in mozilla. This is really handy for opening links in new windows.

I looked at the the bug this has been marked a dupe of (16766), and it seems that there has been a mistake. For one thing, 16766 is for Linux. For another, it was marked fixed a month ago, but in win32 context menus don't come up until the right mouse button is released, making click-drag-release behavior impossible. I might dare to mark this reopened, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed.
not necessary, this is really bug 49844 which is the windows bug that fell out of 16766 (which became linux only before it was fixed).
