Hey Jamey: Can you create a new FAQ page on stage? I shared a google document with you with all the links pre-loaded. I think you can view the HTML and copy from there. Here is the link. Thanks so much!
I'm a bit confused, but is the faq page request a refresh of the one currently on the staging page ( https://spreadfirefox.authstage.mozilla.com/faq )?
Aakash I may be wrong but I think the old faq is out dated just a simple edit is why Mary want Ill hold off till Mary replies regards Jamey
It's more than a refresh -- it's a complete rehaul. I want the old one gone come launch and the new (updated and expanded) faq in place :) More than a simple edit :)

Page is created however the layout didn't transfer well from google. I can go through and prettify it once we get my permissions sorted out.
@ Mary + Lucy Now that FCKeditor is enabled on comments I am not removing about 50 all signatures a day from comments viagra, acne, pimples, weight loss pills then the url goes to a site that has nothing what so ever to do with mozilla or community marketing I would recommend disabling FCKeditor for all comments I would like to add a descriptive statement on FAQ page about signatures and comments what we can or can not do Here is one just posted badbreathsolutionguide DOT com I did not delete the post yet so all the admins could view the post I did mark it as spam so only admin can view it I just hit refresh on tracker and find new comments Replies Last Post Recent posts this can be tedious to read the comment to edit the comment to PM or warn the member to add or edit the spam filter Yes Keeping the sfx site spam free is a volunteer positions for 10 hours a day 7 days a week some are very clever using white urls edit css links on one keyword, on a period or comma = mouse over each and every post Mary do want want to allow them to spam the site with content urls that does nothing for the community I try to keep the custom spam filters keywords up to date keywords like viagra I can warn them with a simple PM add the URL to the URL spam filter or last banned the account Your thoughts or suggestions welcome
Hey there: I'm a bit confused here -- is the FCKeditor the wysiwyg editor that was enabled on comments? See bug 473659 If this is the case, can we please check it out before disabling it? My intention is *not* to have the site spammed, but to make it easier for people that don't know HTML to post. Just trying to increase the overall usability of the site.
Mary I will not disable it or change a thing Recommend that we do does not mean we must I understand you point At this point stop removing spam so everyone here can see how fast it grows I would like to suggest we add some text about posting comments on the faq page I will take a back seat for now
Should we add a captcha for comments and see if that helps?
I'm not sure how adding anything to the FAQ will help. Spammers aren't going to read it and certainly won't respect it if they do, and it won't help to warn users about spammers there either. Are comments allowed for non-logged in users? if so, definitely add a captcha. Though we should discuss that elsewhere.
I'm sorry to be the stickler, but can we keep this bug on track please. This started out as creating a simple FAQ page, and somehow turned into a site spam bug :) If we have problems with spam (and I'm sure we do) we should file a new bug so it gets the attention it deserves. Thanks!
