Today, running Fennec on my n810, I noticed that if I loaded http://boingboing.net and let it run for a minute, that the CPU usage would eventually spike and Fennec would crash. It does not happen every time but has happened at least six times so far.

I made a local copy of the main page at that time (since it is a blog) but that copy, when loaded from my own web server, does not exhibit the same behavior in Fennec.

Joel Maher saw the spike in CPU but did not see any crashing behavior.

I ran this test again, didn't see a crash, saw a small peak of cpu, but nothing too scary.  Can we resolve this?

I'm getting farther with using the latest nightly, but it's still crashing on build:

Just saw this crash with 1.0a3 trial version on my Treo Pro.

lets try this with/without plugins enabled as well as turning on/off javascript.  Would be good to know if there are workaround or other factors involved.

This still hangs the browser on build:

Fennec 1.0b6pre on N810 (no swap), my CPU is hovering around 10% and no crash.

Setting WORKSFORME unless someone else can reproduce.

I still crash when the device goes to sleep while loading boingboing.net, while panning during the page load and just loading it in general. We really need to relnote this stuff.

Yes, this is n810 only.

and I verified with the 20091215 build that it hangs my device on my n810
