User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:188.8.131.52) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:184.108.40.206) Gecko/2009011913 Firefox/3.0.6 nsiLocalFile.initWithPath("Com1") is throwing exception NS_ERROR_FILE_UNRECOGNIZED_PATH, but there a real file name, and it can be opened in all, what i know languages. Reproducible: Always
Looks like this filename blacklist was added in bug 103468: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/annotate/5e81fbdd55e4/widget/src/windows/nsDataObj.cpp#l959 http://bonsai.mozilla.org/cvsblame.cgi?file=mozilla/widget/src/windows/nsDataObj.cpp&rev=1.90#977
It used to be that opening "com1" would give you a serial port, but maybe there are sane APIs we can use now that don't do that.
how i can read from serial port?
problem is solved, i can read from <any path>\Com1
