I had support-firefox and support-thunderbird set to notify me whenever someone subscribed or unsubscribed. I went to switch that setting off, but it doesn't accept the change. Screencast: <http://ilias.ca/flashback/notify-pref.html> [900K]
You're on the wrong screen. The options you're poking at are one-time overrides for that particular form submission. The default settings for those options are in the "Notifications" section of the General Options tab.
