Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090304 Firefox/3.1b3

After switching the setting from "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" to "Always Ask" I expect to see the dialog to select the action I wanna perform. This doesn't happen if you do the above action.

Steps:
1. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader
2. Create a new profile in Firefox
3. Load PDF: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040ez.pdf?portlet=3
4. Open the preferences window and change the action to "Always ask" for pdf documents.
5. Load PDF again

With step 3 the pdf file is displayed within the browser. But even by changing the default action it is still opened with the Acrobate Reader too in step 5.

As workaround you can select another external application and switch to "always ask" after that. It will work.

This can also be seen with Firefox 2.0.0.20. So it's probably older. But I haven't found any bug logged for that problem.
