Steps to reproduce:
1.Go to https://spreadfirefox.authstage.mozilla.com
2.Login with valid credentials
3.Create content->Image->file attachments
4.Try to upload an excel sheet

expected results:
Upload is successful

actual result:
1.Error message-"An unspecified error has occurred" is displayed in an alert box.
2.Upload is unsuccessful

Additional info:
Sometimes there is no error,but the upload simply fails.

Probably

r24077 upgrades image modules, maybe that will help

yep, looks like the upgrade made this error more explanatory

Unspecified error when user tries to upload a non-image format is gone.There is an informative user message instead.But upload is still unsuccessful.Will file /track it as a separate bug.
