User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081204 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18pre) Gecko/20080917 Sunbird/0.9 This is not really a bug, as the application is performing as it should. However, a UI warning when scheduling a recurring tast/event in this manner could be issued to help forestall any unanticipated side effects from this use case. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Schedule a recurring task/event to occur on day 30 or 31 of every month. 2. Wait until a month having less than 30 or 31 days occurs. 3. Miss recurring task/event as it will not be scheduled for this month.
Scheduling something to occur on the fifth Su-Sa of any month could also result in a missed task/event in the same manner
Is there a standadized way of handling this? E.g., when you enter a recurring wire transfer order at a German bank on the 31st, it's always executed at the last banking day of the month.

We have an option for "Last Day of the month", but I think its a good idea to show a warning. We'd need some UI for this though.

Maybe this is also a candidate for the notificationbox in the event-dialog
